orange and chocolate - yum!!

Continuing my walk down memory lane for projects that I did this year, this is a set that I made for June's Fan Club gallery.  The themes we were working with were "in the beginning" and favor boxes, and also taking inspiration from a party-planning website.  There was a gorgeous party theme of orange and chocolate on the website that screamed out to me!

This pretty much started my little obsession with these round scalloped cards (which continued with this and this, remember?).  So very fun to layer the heck out of!!

Here's my write-up from June:

So, when I went to the Hostess with the Mostess website for inspiration, I must have been hungry! The orange and chocolate theme popped right out at me! LOL

For the card, I started with the Stampin' Up! scalloped notecards (which I think are being retired?) as a template and created the base from some Rose Moka and Anna Griffin papers. The Fairy Tale stamp as a little banner was an idea borrowed from the SU catalog (isn't that a great idea?!). The flowers and such were layered and popped with foam dots.

The favor box is from Taylored Expressions. (She has this sweet little sampler that comes with a bunch of cute boxes.) I embellished it with a little strip from the True Elegance Accents and Elements, added a flower layered like the one on the card, and tied some ribbon on top.
