{Pink Saturday}

This is my first week participating in Pink Saturday, a gathering of pink posts by bloggers brought together by a sweet lady! When I first heard about this, I just knew that I wanted to be a part of it! Will you join me? Just click the link, and you'll see the list of participants to visit this week.

Here are a few pink cards that I made this week. The first one, of course, is for Valentine's Day. The ribbon with the doily reminds me of a beautiful box of chocolates. *crossing fingers I get one of those boxes this year*

This next one is to welcome a baby girl. I just had to add some velvet and bling :)

And the last one for today is an everyday, kind of pick-me-up card that is actually so soft in color, you can't see the prints as well in real life, but it has a very pretty effect because of it. Makes me feel the need to whisper :)

Now I need to be disciplined to actually send these! I've been very lax about letter-writing, forgetting the joy that people have in receiving the cards. So these will be on their way this week to some new homes!

Thank you so much for joining me for my first Pink Saturday - first of many, for sure! Please say hello if you have a moment :)

{some scrappy little news}

I just wanted to put in a couple of things this (once again!) snowy morning.....

I've stepped down from the Creative Memories team, but I can't wait to see the next catalog and the awesome things to come from the designers. Keep your eyes open - trust me you'll love what you see from them!

I'm very excited to announce that I was chosen for the Sketches! {by tamara} Layout Design Team!! I'm among some great talent there, and the sketches are amazing. This will be very fun!! The new sketches go up each Monday, so please join me next week for my first layout with the team :)

Today, I'm working on some pink things as I've joined an inspiring group of bloggers in their Pink Saturday project. It was started by Beverly at her How Sweet the Sound blog. Please come back on Saturday to visit for that ;)

Ooh, and I heard back from Sew Somerset yesterday. I'll have a project published later this year with them :)

Thanks for catching up on my scrappy little news! I hope you have a wonderful day (with very little snow!)!

that's why.

Over at SplitCoastStampers, it's Virtual Scrapbooking Night/Weekend, and I'm having a great time chatting and scrapping (despite having this ridiculous chest cold that won't leave!).

This layout is for Erika (SunshineMama)'s challenge to Tell the Extraordinarily Ordinary Story and to use her sketch that she provided for inspiration.

Supplies: Prima papers, bling, birdy brad, alphas, tape, and ribbon; Stampin' Up Down to Business stamp, Felt Fusion Too flowers, and Basic Black ink.
