happy valentine's day!

This was Ellie a couple of nights ago, preparing her valentines for preschool. I love her concentration here. And this is the sketch that I used for a layout last night. Sally is the resident layout sketch artist extraordinaire at Split Coast, and I love, love, love this week's from her:

I just bought a couple of Basic Grey 6x6 paper pads and love quilting the patterns together like this! I used Sultry on this page - "I am a dancer."

Thank you for visiting, and I hope you are having a fabulous Valentine's Day!!

Be Mine, Valentine!

Fancy Pants is having a Valentine's Day card contest, and this is what I made for it. Used a bunch of Crush and Kewl collections, with some lace wrap and felt, too. It's all Fancy Pants except for the Bazzill cardstock base ;)

Totally fun!!

edited to add:  received 2nd place!  very happy fun!

my first Sketches! {by tamara} DT layout

Sketch 82 from Sketches! {by tamara} was posted today, and I was very excited to wake up and see my layout among the great pages by the Design Team! Please stop by there for some motivation and inspiration :)

I scrapped another page about Ben this time. (I'm trying to even the score a little bit since I did so many pages of Ellie in January!) I used mostly very old things but tried to give them a new feel with the stitching and distressing... but, hey, now that I think about it, stitching and distressing isn't quite new, is it? LOL Anyway, Ben likes his page, and that's exciting to me.

Happy Monday! I hope it is full of blessings for you :)
