my last hurrah with The Crew

April is my final month with the Creative Crew at Splitcoast Stampers.
So many great challenges and inspiration from the hostesses!!
Our theme for April is Shades of Spring.
You can see the whole Crew's gallery here :)

For the Step It Up Challenge, we do a Step One and then turn the volume up to Step Two :)
I used the March 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit, Bunny Buddies, as a foundation,
but, do you recognize the bunny that I used?  It's from the Foxy Friends stamp set!

For the Technique Challenge, I used a template posted in the Splitcoast forums by "Snietje".
Anita posted instructions to make her "book card" here.
Mine doesn't look like much when it's closed...
but it makes a beautiful, accordion-folded-frame at the inside of the card!
I added Window Sheet pieces within the folds of the frame to create a diorama, of sorts.
The stamp set used for the layers is Touches of Texture; the floral paper is from English Garden (retired).

For the Sketch Challenge, I adapted the card sketch to a 12x12 layout.
I used the (retired) English Garden Designer Series Paper to keep with the colors in
this month's Shades of Spring theme.  Added some vellum and a doilie from the Occasions catalog.
(And I'm still open to someone giving me direction on the singular "doilie" or "doily" word.
Does it only work in plural?!  It just looks weird - "doilie".)

The alphabet is Letters For You which coordinates with Large Letters Framelits
- NO fussy cutting!!  I love them :)  They're showing up on most of my pages these days - LOL!

This is my card for the Inspiration Challenge.  Wendy gave us a cute pic to use as inspiration
- a photo of a bunch of floral lamp shades.  Get it?  "Shades of Spring"?!  LOL
(They remind me of this shade that I did way back.)
Again, used the English Garden Designer Series Paper.  The stamps are from Best Birds.

The Color Challenge presented a, well, challenge for me :)
The colors look so pretty together, but I had a hard time bringing them together in a design.
I mentioned already that I used English Garden print papers on other projects,
but I wanted to do something a little more modern for at least one challenge.
So, here we have Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride butterflies,
sent with a mini Stampin' Up! note.
(If you're a customer of mine and get this card in the mail,
please act surprised!)

Huge thanks to Susie, Patty, Bev and Wendy for having me on the Creative Crew!!
